Computers, internet and wifi  

Book a library computer

Library members can book a one hour session on a library computer, including internet access. There is no charge for this service. Most of our libraries have access to a scanner. Sessions can be extended if there is a computer available. 

Computers can be booked in advance using the computer booking form.

What will you need?

Use the last 8 characters of your North Ayrshire Council library card number

  • your library card number
  • your PIN (forgot your PIN?)
  • or in person at your library

Learn about using computers

Our Computer Buddy Scheme is designed to help library members with skills to access our library computers. Learn how to:

  • use the mouse and keyboard
  • print and save files
  • carry out basic Internet searches
  • set up an email account

Wifi

Library members can enjoy free BT Wifi, without library card/PIN and Wifi printing at the following libraries:

  • Beith library
  • Dalry library
  • Dreghorn library
  • Fairlie library (Wifi printing is not available)
  • Irvine library
  • Kilwinning library
  • Kilbirnie library
  • Largs library
  • Millport library
  • Saltcoats library
  • Skelmorlie library
  • Stevenston library
  • West Kilbride library
  • Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine (Wifi printing is not available)
  • Heritage Centre, Saltcoats (Wifi printing is not available)

BT Wifi can be accessed without your library card/PIN. Email BT Wifi Helpdesk or Freephone 0800 022 3322. 

Wifi Printing

You can print documents from your own device at home or in the library. On your device’s browser, visit the North Ayrshire Libraries Cloud Printing website to use this service and follow the onscreen instructions.

You need your library card/PIN to use Wifi printing.
