Event planning and support

Looking for a great location for your event? We have the answer.

North Ayrshire is easy to reach from Central Scotland. It's easy to get around when you get here and its dramatic location on the Clyde Estuary is second to none. From beautiful beaches to parks, open spaces and our islands of Arran and Cumbrae - the area has loads of locations to hold an event of any size or nature.

North Ayrshire Council recognises the importance of local events and the positive impact they have in communities.

Local events are largely organised by voluntary management committees. Volunteers deliver; gala days, fetes, shows, festive celebrations and parades. Events encourage participation and help develop a greater community spirit.

We provide advice and guidance on event organisation.

Planning an event?

We coordinate an interagency approach to support local events and assist in their success. Event organisers considering staging an event in North Ayrshire should contact us.

  • guidance notes that will help you to complete a Community Event Notification Form
  • advice and tips to help you organise your event

Complete your Event Notification Form

A form is also available if you are planning to host an event in Eglinton Park.

When completing your Event Notification Form, please be prepared as the form cannot be saved.

Please note: it is recommended that you submit your Event Notification form a minimum of 6 weeks prior to your anticipated event date.

If you are still in the early planning stages of your event and do not have all the information you need to complete the full Event Notification Form or if you are planning ahead for 2022, it is recommended that you submit the Early Event Notification Form.

Submit an Early Event Notification Form

This will allow our Events Team to review your anticipated plans, provide guidance and support your planning until you are ready to submit the full Event Notification Form.

As part of the Community Event Application e-form, please attach any necessary supporting documentation such as site plans and insurance. Supporting documentation can also be emailed directly to the Events Team at events@north-ayrshire.gov.uk.
