Holiday school meals

Pupils eligible for free school meals will continue to be supported over the summer holiday. North Ayrshire Council has put in place a voucher system for those entitled to free school meals.

The vouchers are for means-tested free school meals entitlement and only apply to households who qualify for free meals based on low household income.

They don't cover universal free entitlement for P1-P3 children funded by the Scottish Government to provide free meals during term time.

If you believe you qualify for means-tested free school meals, you can apply for the 2020/21 grant to ensure that you receive food vouchers over the summer period.

The food vouchers will be worth £20 per week - £4 per day – and can be used in a variety of stores including Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and many more.

Families who have been receiving food packages throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, will receive a letter with further details when they receive their last food package.

Vouchers will be distributed by email, or by post if no email address is registered.

We won't be running our ‘Wrap, Run and Fun' service.
