Funding boost available for community projects

Community groups across the Garnock Valley and North Coast are being encouraged to apply for a share of thousands of pounds in funding to help transform local spaces and facilities.

The North Ayrshire Community Projects Fund, supported by the UK Government's Pride in Place Impact Fund, is reopening this month and will provide grants of between £5,000 and £35,000 to eligible organisations delivering community-led improvement projects.

The fund supports projects that:

  • Improve and invest in community facilities
  • Revitalise public spaces, including play parks, streetscapes, signage and public art
  • Breathe new life into town centres and high streets, making them more attractive, welcoming and vibrant

Applications open on Friday 11 September and close on 1 November.

Community groups are invited to attend a series of information sessions to find out more about the fund, eligibility criteria and the application process.

The fund has already helped a range of community organisations across North Ayrshire deliver improvements to local facilities and public spaces, with previous awards supporting projects in Arran, Garnock Valley, Kilwinning and the North Coast.
