Disruption to Service

As a result of recent weather due to storm Eowyn, we have had to suspend bulky uplifts and bin collections which were due on Friday 24 January. Any grey, blue or purple bins missed from this date will now be collected weekend of Saturday 1 February and Sunday 2 February. Brown bins missed from this date will be collected on next scheduled date Friday 7 February.

Missed bin collections

Brown Bins in the following areas due to be collected 23 January will now be collected on Monday 27 January.

Lawthorn

  • Broughton Green
  • Hepburn Way
  • Strathmore Park
  • Swinton Place
  • Renton Park
  • Ormiston Place

Bulky Uplifts

Outstanding uplifts in the Kilwinning area scheduled to be collected on 23 January will be collected as soon as possible.

Recycling Centres & Points

Kilbirnie and Largs Recycling Centres will be closed from 12pm on the following days for staff training:

  • Tuesday 28 January 2025
  • Wednesday 29 January 2025

All other recycling centres are operating as normal. Check recycling points to find your nearest recycling centre.

Real Christmas trees

The mainland and Cumbrae waste teams will collect real Christmas trees (in sections no longer than five feet in length) from beside brown bins from 13 January 2025 over the next two week collection cycle. Check bin collection days to see dates for your area.

On Arran, real Christmas trees can be deposited at the Brodick Household Waste Recycling Centre.
