Motorists asked to plan ahead as roadworks get under way in Irvine

Posted on 24 Jan 2024

Road users are being asked to plan ahead as significant roadworks are being planned for Irvine over the course of the two next weeks.

Roadworks are being carried out in two phases which means the temporary closure of the B7081 Annick Road.

Drivers are asked to observe the diversions which will be in place and allow appropriate time for journeys while improvement works are carried out.

The first phase of works will get under way from 8am on Monday, January 29, meaning the temporary closure of Annick Road (between Annickbank Campus Junction and MacKintosh Place Junction). The closure will be in place until 6pm on Friday, February 2, or earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.

The second phase of works on Annick Road (between Annick Roundabout and Golffields Road Junction), will be from 8am on Monday, February 5, to 6pm on Friday, February 9, or earlier if possible.

You can find out more about roadworks in your local area on the Council website.
