Want to learn new skills, meet new people, work towards an award or just have fun with friends? There are lots of clubs, organisations and youth groups in North Ayrshire:

Award schemes

We promote the following award schemes:

Citizenship and Participation

Our Youth Participation and Citizenship strategy sets out how young people across North Ayrshire can play an active role in their schools and communities.

Get involved in Scottish Youth Parliament, Youth Forums, Pupil Councils, North Ayrshire Youth Council, Youth Groups, Eco Committees, Sports Leadership, Peer Education - just some of the ways to get your voice heard on matters that affect you.

Get your voice heard through all of our various platforms, consultations, events, activities and group work activities.

Find out how to get involved in our Climate Change work in our plan.

Sign our pledge and tell us how you or your organisation will ensure that young peoples voices will be represented, valued and actioned.

Make your mark by volunteering, joining a pupil council, area forum or youth council, or becoming a member of the Scottish Youth Parliament.

North Ayrshire Youth Council

The Cabinet of North Ayrshire Council regularly meets with the North Ayrshire Youth Council Executive Committee. Meetings provide an opportunity for young people to have their voices heard on issues that affect them in their communities.

If you are between the ages of 12 and 25 and are interested in joining the North Ayrshire Youth Council, contact Education and Youth Employment.

Supporting our LGBTQI+ Young People

We have a number of provisions across youth work that is specifically for our LGBTQI+ young people.

Please know that all of our youth work spaces and provisions are a safe place for all, with staff trained on LGBT and Trans awareness. We have a zero tolerance policy to hateful comments and bullying. Our groups and events are a safe space in which everyone feels welcome, respected and comfortable with being who they are. This includes our young people, volunteers and staff.

For information, support and guidance visit LGBT Youth Scotland.
