Education service performance
Performance management is at the heart of our drive to deliver high quality, efficient, and child-centred services. This along with our Quality Improvement Framework enables all children and young people to achieve to their full potential.
This is done through school improvement planning and a consistent approach to quality assurance.
Our performance framework ensures that plans are translated into effective actions that improve outcomes for all children and young people. There is a clear focus on improving learning and teaching across the Service.
Education Service Annual Improvement Plan document
School and Early Years Centre improvement plans
All schools and early years centres in North Ayrshire create a school improvement plan and summary every year. These are produced in June.
North Ayrshire schools' self-evaluation and improvement planning follows these guidelines:
Request a School or Early Years Centre improvement plan
To view a School or Early Years Centre Improvement Plan contact the Head of Establishment.
To view your school's HM Inspections Report, see Education Scotland.
The Standards in School etc. Act 2000 outlines a statutory duty for the Education Service to publish an annual plan and report on progress made towards Scottish Government's National Improvement Framework. The plan and progress report include key performance indicators and actions. We report on progress to North Ayrshire Council’s Executive Leadership Team and Elected Members.
The Education Service Devolved School Management Scheme document ensures that decisions devolved to Head Teachers are in accordance with their School Improvement Plan and support the Education Service Annual Improvement Plan and the National Improvement Framework.
