Community Engagement Hubs are council-operated protected spaces designed to support health, learning, and wellbeing priorities.
Community Engagement Hubs are located within sheltered housing complexes where residents live and have access to a dedicated community space within the building. These spaces are managed and booked out by Community Resources to support various activities and events.
Careful consideration is given to applications for these spaces. Restrictions are placed on the types of bookings, taking into account the nature of the building and the consultation with Housing and Residents (bookings should fit the health, learning and wellbeing priorities of the council and demonstrate benefit to the residents).
Community Engagement Hub locations
- Montgomery Court, Kilbirnie
- The Vennel Gardens, Irvine
- Cumbrae Gardens, Largs
- David White Centre, Saltcoats
- Watt Gardens, Dalry
External bookings are restricted to Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Community Learning & Development (CLD) programmed activities take priority, followed by partnership events and activities. These activities will be free of charge and operate keyholding.

Customer testimonials
'We chose Saltcoats Town Hall because we just wanted something local, casual and informal. Staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. Guests still talk about how beautiful the venue was and the amazing food. Wish we could do it all again it just went by too quick.' - Emma and Jack
'My husband and I recently got married at Saltcoats Town Hall and what a fabulous day it was. We cannot thank the staff enough. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and went without a hitch. The food was phenomenal and we still get amazing comments about the buffet. We couldn't recommend this venue enough for a wedding, especially regarding the value for money. Our day was just perfect and wish we could do it all again.' - Mr and Mrs Donaldson
