Website makes it easier to discover what’s on in region

A new page dedicated to events taking place in the region has been launched on North Ayrshire Council’s website.
The events calendar has been created to encourage North Ayrshire residents and visitors to discover what is happening in the local area and attend local events.
You’ll find the dates for large events across the area from traditional festivals to sport and music events. It will include information on popular events like the Largs Viking Festival, Irvine Marymass Festival, Ardrossan and Brodick Highland Games. More events will be added throughout the year as they are finalised.
You can also look out for the “Discover North Ayrshire” booklet which has been distributed locally and throughout Scotland. It can be found in visitor attractions, hotels, transport hubs libraries and other council buildings.
The guide contains information on the local places you can explore and activities including culture and heritage, outdoor adventures, family fun and much more
Quote: There is always lots going on across North Ayrshire and we have so many fantastic community events. We are delighted to have this designated page which is easy to navigate – providing clear and up-to-date information for local people and visitors coming from further afield. It’s a really handy webpage to add to your bookmarks and plan out activities for the year and support local events. The Discover North Ayrshire guide is also great in providing loads of information about what the area has to offer.”
