A plan view of new housing in Irvine showing homes

Residents and interested parties are invited to view proposals for a significant new council housing development.

A total of 188 new council homes are planned for Montgomerie Park in Irvine.

This will be one of North Ayrshire Council’s largest housing developments to date - alongside the 202 new homes currently being constructed at the site of the former maternity unit at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine.

The £50million development, which is anticipated to be supported by a £25m Scottish Government grant, will see a mix of general needs houses, amenity bungalows and homes suitable for wheelchair users.

You can still view the final plans until Sunday 31 August 2025.

For any additional information or assistance please email developmentandstrategy@north-ayrshire.gov.uk or telephone 01294 324031.

Work is currently scheduled to get under way in spring/summer 2026, with completion expected in spring/summer 2029.
