Shaping North Ayrshire together

A graphic that reads your locality matters with map icon and landmarks from across North Ayrshire

North Ayrshire Council has launched a new #ShapingNorthAyrshire social media campaign to raise awareness of the important work of our North Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership and Locality teams.

Representing North Ayrshire’s six localities, Arran, Garnock Valley, Irvine, Kilwinning, North Coast and Cumbraes and Three Towns, the officers working within the service are an integral part of the council’s Connected Communities team.

North Ayrshire’s Community Planning Partnership is one of the ways that local communities work together with public and third sector organisations to improve residents’ lives and neighbourhoods. The mission of the North Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership is to build a Fairer North Ayrshire for All!

Locality Planning is about reducing inequalities and enabling communities to participate in decision making and driving changes at a locality level. Working across our localities in a host of community venues, the team’s practice is rooted in Locality Planning.

Locality teams from across North Ayrshire are keen to shine a spotlight on a host of good news stories and opportunities happening locally to empower communities.

Form adult learning and family fun, to funding opportunities and supporting local community groups, the team are all about helping residents harness the power of local democracy and partnership working to achieve their aspirations.

Look out for updates about the Community Planning Partnership, Locality Planning and the work of the Locality teams in the coming months!
