Registration for P1 pupils to open on November 11

North Ayrshire Council will soon open registration for pupils scheduled to start primary school next summer.
Parents of children starting primary school in August 2025, are being asked to register them from next week.
Children whose fifth birthday falls between 1 March 2025 and 28 February 2026 are eligible to register for primary education starting in August 2025.
Registration is an online process and will take place during the period Monday 11 November and Sunday 24 November.
You should register your child’s details for your Catchment Primary School for your address by completing a P1 Registration Form.
Councillor Shaun Macaulay, Cabinet Member for Education said: “We would urge parents to register their children as soon possible.
“Those who are unable to access the application online, should contact our customer services team on 01294 310000 where someone will be able to assist further.”
Parents and carers have the choice to submit a placing request to a primary school outwith their catchment area but must first register with their catchment primary school.
If you decide to make a placing request, then you should complete a placing request form before 6 December 2024. See more information about placing requests and how these are processed.
It is important to note that if you do submit a placing request, you will be responsible for any transport costs, other than exceptional circumstances.
If you live more than two miles from your catchment primary school you can apply for free school transport.
