Jobs fair being hosted in Ardrossan next week

North Ayrshire Council’s Employability team – Your Next Move, Working North Ayrshire, has partnered with the Department of Work and Pensions to deliver a Jobs Fair at Ardrossan Civic Centre.

The event will take place on Thursday 26 March from 1pm until 3pm at the venue on 150 Glasgow Street, Ardrossan, North Ayrshire, KA22 8EU.

A seasonal Spring event for North Ayrshire residents, it will offer attendees looking for work or thinking about progressing in their career, an opportunity to meet with a host of local employers and partners.

Attendees can head along solo or with the support of parents, carers, friends or their support worker to find out about a host of local career opportunities in the following sectors:

  • administration
  • childcare
  • construction
  • customer service
  • engineering
  • health and social care
  • hospitality
  • manufacturing

Did you know that with over 7,500 employees, North Ayrshire Council is one of the area’s biggest employers? Our Employability team, who deliver the Your Next Move, Working North Ayrshire programme - will also have a stall at the event to discuss opportunities within the council and across North Ayrshire.

Other stall holders will include representatives from 1st Homecare, All Needs, Ayrshire College, Cabot, Calmac, CEIS Ayrshire, Dunbia Providers, Double Crown Healthcare, Fluffy Dusters, The Equal Programme, North Ayrshire Council's HR and Parental Employment teams, North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (Ardrossan), Stagecoach, Street League and We Work For Families Ayrshire to name a few.

North Ayrshire Council’s Head of Service for Economic Development, Growth and Regeneration, Louise Kirk said: “The upcoming Spring Jobs Fair is a fantastic chance to have a chat with our Employability team and partners about the many exciting career opportunities available on our doorstep so that you can take positive steps into a new role this spring.

“Whether you are looking for tailored support, more information on what opportunities are available, or tips on how to take a step up the career ladder, the event is geared towards helping everyone to achieve their future goals.
