Unfortunately, our household waste recycling centres will remain closed tomorrow, Sunday 26 January.

Our teams have been out assessing the centres over the course of today.

Our Kilbirnie site has sustained significant storm damage which requires to be cleared before the sites can open to the public.

Storm damage, caused the gates of the Bartonholm centre to blow open and people have been entering the site without permission. Significant amounts of waste have been dumped throughout the entire site. This rubbish must be cleared before allowing access for residents.

To ensure the safety of our staff, the Largs Centre will be inspected for damage when weather conditions improve.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding whilst our teams work hard to make our Household Waste Recycling Centres safe for use.

We anticipate being open to the public on Monday 27 January.
