Free events for families in Three Towns

North Ayrshire Council and a range of partners are looking to reach as many parents/carers and families across the Three Towns over the coming weeks.
The team has teamed up with KA Leisure, the Lennox Partnership and Ardrossan Community Sports Hub to put together a package of events, offers and information sessions throughout March to provide advice about fitness, health, wellbeing and work.
KA Leisure are hosting a series of free family fun events open to everyone.
Activities include inflatables, multi-sports, creative fun, face painting, wellbeing checks, refreshments, prizes and more!
Events take place on:
- Saturday 7 March, 10am–2pm at KA Campus, Stanley Primary School, Ardrossan
- Wednesday 25 March, 4–6pm at Hayocks Community Centre, Saltcoats
- Saturday 28 March, 10am–2pm at St Matthew’s Community Sport Hub, Stevenston
These relaxed, drop-in events are designed for families of all ages.

The Council’s We Work for Families team will also be hosting a series of drop-in wellbeing sessions for unemployed North Ayrshire parents this March.
The sessions offer a welcoming space to take a break, reduce isolation, and access support.
- Enjoy free tea, coffee, and biscuits
- Chat informally with friendly We Work for Families staff
- Take part in gentle wellbeing activities
- Learn about support available for them and their family
Sessions will take place from 10am – 1pm on
- 10 March at Park Parish Church, Ardrossan
- 31 March at Hayocks Community Hall, Stevenston
- 31 March at the Parent Hub, Ardrossan
Ardrossan Community Sports Hub is also offering a free four-week fitness programme for unemployed parents to help rebuild confidence, strength and healthy routines.
The programme includes:
- A welcome visit to meet coaches and tour the gym
- Four weekly 1-to-1 coaching sessions
- A personalised training plan
- Access to 25+ fitness classes including Yoga and Hyrox
- A progress review at the end of the 4 weeks
- A free Ardrossan gym workout t-shirt
Participants who complete the four-week plan will also receive a three-month gym membership. Fitness is encouraged alongside a friend, why not bring a buddy?

Finally, the Lennox Partnership is reminding people that they operate a Parent Hub in Ardrossan. The service offers support for unemployed parents living in North Ayrshire with children under 16
The Hub provides a range of opportunities including training, education, employability support, confidence-building courses, and a parent group, along with additional services.
Based in the Frank Sweeney Centre, 82–84 Glasgow Street, all are welcome, and no appointment is required.
