Employability Week will focus on services and support

A graphic with the words Your Next Move, Working North Ayrshire

A series of special events is being hosted next week to help people access the support they need to get into work or training.

North Ayrshire Council’s third Employability week offers a series of community events and activities, where experts will explain different services that are available.

The week shines a light on the great work that is being done by council teams and partners, and is being coordinated by the council’s Employability Service’s Your Next Move, Working North Ayrshire programme.

Residents can find out more about the wide range of support that is available locally including: Modern Apprenticeships; opportunities for young people aged 16 to 24 through CEIS Ayrshire and offers for mums, dads and carers through the Parent Hub.

More than 600 people from across North Ayrshire found out about life-changing work and training opportunities last year.

Quote: The aim of this week of events is to encourage residents of all ages to find out more about training, career change options and Modern Apprenticeships – among other things. It is a fantastic opportunity for people of all walks of life - and from different backgrounds - to find out how they can be supported, whether they just want to explore a career change or discover what training courses are suitable. I would encourage anyone who wants to find out more to attend the events or, if you can’t make it along, get in touch with our Employability team.”
