An exciting week of events is being hosted to help people access the support they need to get into work or training.

North Ayrshire Council’s third Employability week offers a series of community events and activities, where experts will explain the range of different services available.

The week shines a light on the great work that is being done by Council teams and partners, and is being coordinated by the Council’s Employability Service, Working North Ayrshire.

Experts from Working North Ayrshire - and partner organisations - will provide information about the various opportunities and residents can find out more by going along to the following two events:

  • Tuesday, 26 May - Jobs Fair, 10am to noon in the Volunteer Rooms, Parterre, Irvine and
  • Tuesday, 26 May - Council Modern Apprentice recruitment information event, 4pm to 6pm, also in the Volunteer Rooms.

More than 600 people from across North Ayrshire found out about life-changing work and training opportunities last year during Employability Week – which is now in its third year.

If you are ready to make a change, please head along to any of the community events listed above, which are free to attend on a drop-in basis. You can also find out more on the Council’s social media accounts.

Quote: If you would like to find out more about how the Council’s Employability team experts and partner organisations can help you to make your next step in training or finding a new role in the workplace, please attend one of the events. Everyone’s circumstances are different, and there will be experts with a wealth of experience on hand at the events to talk about everything from Modern Apprenticeships to college courses – and everything in between. It might be the case that you – or someone you know – needs support in changing career or finding out more about the support that is available through Equal SES for anyone with physical, mental health or neurological conditions. If you can’t get involved in Employability Week but need help, please get in touch with our Employability team experts.
