Candidates for Scottish Parliamentary Election

The candidates have been confirmed for the Scottish Parliamentary Election, to be held on Thursday, May 7.

Voters will choose their constituency MSPs in Cunninghame South and Cunninghame North, and they will also have a second vote that will help to determine the seven regional list MSPs in the West Scotland Region, which includes North Ayrshire.

The deadlines have passed for nominations, and the candidates are now confirmed. The candidates are:

Cunninghame North Constituency:

· Ian Gibson - Scottish Alliance for Democracy and Freedom

· Kenneth Gibson - Scottish National Party (SNP)

· Mike Mann - Reform UK

· Matthew McGowan - Scottish Labour Party

· Christine Margaret Murdoch - Scottish Liberal Democrats

· Ronnie Stalker - Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party

Cunninghame South Constituency:

· Katy Clark - Scottish Labour Party
