Community Conversation events planned for North Coast

Community Conversations North Coast and Cumbraes leaflet with people and map icon

Residents and community groups across the North Coast and Cumbraes are invited to join the North Coast Locality team for a series of informal “Community Conversations” this March.

Part of North Ayrshire’s Community Planning Partnership, the North Coast and Cumbraes Locality team are an integral part of the council’s wider Connected Communities service.

Responsible for empowering communities and driving changes at a locality level, the team are running the friendly Conversations Sessions as an opportunity for Community Members to provide their feedback and suggestions in relation to the four Locality Priorities:

  1. Improving Access to Financial Services
  2. Increasing Social Inclusion
  3. Improving Mental Wellbeing
  4. Supporting Skills and Work

There is an overarching theme overall of tackling poverty.

  • The first Community Conversation will take place on Monday 16 March at West Kilbride Village Hall from noon until 2pm.
  • The next will be held at Largs Library on Monday 23 March from 11am until 1pm.
  • If you are unable to attend in person, views can also be shared online

No booking required – just drop in and join the conversation.

Head of Service for Connected Communities, Rhonda Leith shares:

Quote: The Community Conversations are your chance to have a chat with us about what matters to you and your community. These sessions are all about listening, sharing ideas and shaping communities together. They are a brilliant example of how our Community Planning Partnership is working directly with residents to improve lives and neighbourhoods. Part of our wider Shaping North Ayrshire awareness-raising and engagement campaign, this is an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts, hear about great things happening locally and find out about what happens next across the four North Coast Locality Priority areas. The North Coast Locality team are keen to hear from you so that they can work together with communities to reduce inequalities and drive impactful change the North Coast and Cumbraes.”
