Ayrshire beaches ready to welcome visitors

Councils, emergency services and NHS Ayrshire & Arran are among partners who have joined forces once again to deliver the annual Safer Shores campaign.
The campaign aims to encourage everyone to enjoy Ayrshire’s stunning coastline and beautiful beaches safely, responsibly, and respectfully while reducing disruption to local communities.
Campaign measures may include additional patrols by Police Scotland and British Transport Police and enforcement of local alcohol bylaws.
Quote: We encourage people visiting beaches in Ayrshire to be responsible and act with consideration for others. The Safer Shores initiative is in place to ensure those living and visiting Ayrshire can do so safely. Partner agencies are working together to prevent and address any issues or incidents. Any criminal or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and we will take appropriate action where incidents are reported and offenders are identified. Anyone with information or concerns about anti-social activity should report it to Police Scotland on 101 or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
