Recruitment event for parents seeking work will take place in February

A recruitment event is being held in Ardrossan for unemployed parents who are aiming to rejoin the workforce.
North Ayrshire Council’s employability service’s Your Next Move, Working North Ayrshire programme has teamed up with the Parental Employment Programme Team to support people back into work.
Parents from across North Ayrshire are invited to the Parent Hub, 82-84 Glasgow Street, from 10am to 12.30pm on Friday, February 2.
On the day, jobseekers can speak to various Ayrshire employers who will conduct interviews for existing vacancies.
The event is being hosted in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions and We Work for Families – which is a Council-funded service in Ardrossan that supports parents into work and offers help with housing matters, gas and electricity bills, access to food bank vouchers, help with CVs and securing employment.
The team can get help with interview preparation, updating your CV, funding for interview clothes and much more.

The Your Next Move, Working North Ayrshire team would also like to hear from local employers who are looking to recruit new staff in the next couple of months and want to attend the event.
Grant funding may be available to support businesses with recruitment and training costs. Email employability@north-ayrshire.gov.uk for further information.
