High demand for Council advertising and sponsorship

The introduction of sponsorship opportunities and advertising on North Ayrshire roundabouts has proved a success with local firms.
Numerous local businesses including restaurants, taxi firms, social care, home improvement and security, retail and other service outlets have taken the opportunity to increase their profile, develop brand awareness and attract new customers.
There is now an opportunity for more companies and organisations to benefit and secure their own advertising space with further low-cost opportunities to promote their businesses, products and services.
The most recent development implemented is a new partnership between North Ayrshire Council and Roadvert to providing local business with high-profile advertising throughout the Council’s fleet of vehicles.
Demand is particularly high for advertising space on Refuse Collection Vehicles providing highly-visible, moving billboards in communities across North Ayrshire.
Stuart Cameron, Sales Manager at Roadvert said: “There has been a lot of interest locally. This is a unique advertising medium for local businesses that has the potential for significant audience reach to increase their customer base.”
At a time when businesses are seeking to recover from the pandemic and cope with current economic challenges including rising inflation and the Cost-of-Living Crisis, promotion of their businesses can offer a vital helping hand.
Councillor Tony Gurney, Cabinet Member for Green Environment and Economy at North Ayrshire Council, said: “We will continue to find ways to work with and support our local businesses.
“By maintaining and developing their profile during difficult times, businesses can succeed and develop their customer base.”
In addition to the opportunity to advertise on the Council fleet, there are also opportunities to advertise on prominent roundabouts and sponsor floral beds.
