TranslateWe’d like to share a quick update on how things are progressing at the Ardrossan Community Campus and what to expect over the coming weeks.
What's been happening
Over the last four weeks, we’ve made good progress across the site:
- Steelwork is now complete on the Teaching Wing
- Foundations are finished in the Central Wing
- Work is continuing on the gym hall foundations.
- Progress continues on the pool plant room and balance tank.
- The car park is starting to take shape.
- Work on the pool floor is well underway.
What's coming over the next four weeks
- Continuing work on the Sports Wing foundations
- Making further progress on the pool plant room and balance tanks
- Installing scaffolding and safety handrails
- Adding concrete stairs
- Starting steelwork in the Central Wing
- Beginning metal decking and floor slabs in the Teaching Wing
- Commence concrete floor polishing.

Working hours and what this means for you
We’ll continue foundation work during this month and next. Occasionally, this may mean Saturday morning work, especially after Friday concrete pours, to ensure everything sets properly and keeps the project moving. We’ll do our best to minimise Friday pours, but sometimes these can’t be avoided.
You may also notice:
- Some evening work (after 6pm) during concrete polishing – this will involve minimal staff but could create a bit of noise.
- Vegetation cutting around the site in the coming weeks, which may also take place on a Saturday morning.
We understand how important peace and quiet is, and we really appreciate your patience while we carry out these necessary works. Thank you for your continued support and understanding while we deliver this important project for the community.

We know construction work can sometimes feel disruptive, and we want to reassure you that:
- Noise, dust, and vibration levels are carefully monitored.
- All levels remain within safe and acceptable limits.

Working with the Community highlights
Our team was delighted to take part in the CHAP Killie 2 Coast 2026 walk:
- 10 team members completed sections of the 27-mile route.
- Together, we helped raise £1,400 for CHAP.
- We also donated hi-vis vests to support the event.
This fantastic effort will help CHAP continue providing vital support to people in Ayrshire facing housing, debt, and financial challenges.

For clarity, the reporting of new day-to-day issues about the Campus construction activities (such as noise, dust, deliveries and so on) should be made to Victoria Proven on 07773 592674. If there are repeated enquiries about an issue to which she has already provided a response or there is an issue about a part of the wider Ardrossan Coastal Quarter site then these should be directed to the ardrossancampusconsultation@north-ayrshire.gov.uk email address as this will be the most appropriate avenue to get to a resolution of the enquiry.
Project working hours
- Monday to Friday: 7.30am to 6pm
- Saturday: 8am to 1pm
- Deliveries take place between 8am to 6pm (scheduled and managed)
- Sunday work would only happen with Council approval and would involve quieter activities.
