Cycle

Eglinton Country Park offers a network of safe, traffic free routes for cyclists.

The park has a link route off the National Cycling Network (Sustrans Route 73).

The Cunninghame Cycleway, a largely traffic free route, from the railway station in Kilmarnock to the ferry port of Ardrossan, follows disused railways and riverside paths through Irvine and towards Kilwinning, passing the Garnock Floods Nature Reserve and Eglinton Country Park. The route provides a fantastic opportunity to explore this part of Ayrshire and passes by the campsite perimeter and the Ayrshire Coastal Path is within easy reach. The route then heads east to Stevenston following the sand dunes and giving wide sweeping views across the Irvine Bay towards the Isle of Arran

Please be safe when cycling;

  • be courteous to walkers and others using the park paths
  • wear a correctly fitted safety helmet
  • check that your bike is roadworthy before you start
  • observe signs and notices

Have fun!
