Horse riding

We welcome responsible horse riders, please see our guide - From the horse's mouth (PDF, 735kb).

We have a network of designated paths, allowing riders to enjoy an off-road hack. Our facilities include;

parking
mounting blocks
easy open gates.

The park links into the Irvine and Kilwinning New Town Trail, a 12 mile route following the river valleys.

Park staff are working in partnership with the British Horse Society to make improvements in the horse riding facilities. This long term project involves:

cutting back overhanging branches
repairs to fencing
bridleway improvements
