The Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations 1992 require persons who have control of premises to notify the relevant Local Authority of any operative cooling towers or evaporative condensers, referred to as notifiable devices, on the premises.
Exceptions to this are where:
- the device has no water which is exposed to the air
- where the water supply is not connected
- where the electrical supply is not connected

An acknowledgement will be sent to you on receipt of your notification form.
A Public Register of cooling towers is available for inspection from Environmental Health.
