Provost's Recognition Awards

The Provost’s Recognition Awards will kick off in May 2020 and will recognise those inspiring and influential groups/individuals who have made a difference in their localities.

These awards are a variation on the Provost’s Civic Pride Awards, which have been running for the last nine years, and aim to get into the very heart of our communities.

Nominations will open on Valentine’s Day, Friday 14 February and awards ceremonies will take place in each of the localities:

  • North Coast and Cumbrae
  • the Garnock Valley 
  • Irvine
  • Kilwinning
  • the Three Towns
  • Arran

Award categories

  • Community Group of the Year
  • Citizen of the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Special Achievement Award

Award ceremonies

  • Largs Campus, North Coast and Cumbrae: Saturday 16 May, 11am to 1pm
  • Garnock Campus, Garnock Valley: Monday 18 May, 7pm to 9pm
  • Volunteer Rooms, Irvine: Tuesday 19 May, 7pm to 9pm 
  • Kilwinning Academy, Kilwinning: Wednesday 20 May, 7pm to 9pm
  • Saltcoats Town Hall, Three Towns: Thursday 21 May, 7pm to 9pm
  • Arran High School, Arran: Saturday 23 May, 11am to 1pm
