Food Growing Strategy

We recognise the importance of allotments and food growing, with active support for the community managed sites provided through the Locality Teams and Food Forum.

In the right environment, food and growing can become a powerful tool in bringing people together and helping to reduce social isolation in communities.

There are many fantastic community groups and projects in North Ayrshire running some amazing food-based initiatives and it’s through these partnerships that the food growing strategy (PDF, 286kb) is developing.
