Food Growing Strategy

We recognise the importance of allotments and food growing. We actively support community managed sites provided through the Locality Teams and Food Forum.

In the right environment, food and growing can become a powerful tool. It brings people together and helps to reduce social isolation.

There are many fantastic community groups and projects in North Ayrshire. Some are running amazing food based initiatives. It’s through these partnerships that the food growing strategy (PDF, 286kb) is developing.
