Update on power outages across North Ayrshire

A graphic with the words North Ayrshire Council important announcement

Despite power companies working round the clock to restore power, we are aware that there are some scattered ongoing outages particularly in Irvine, Kilwinning and Beith causing disruption and inconvenience.

Impacted residents are being provided advice by Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) on temporary accommodation, offering two options:

Self-Booking with Refund: You can book a hotel yourself, and SPEN will refund the cost up to £200. Please keep all receipts for reimbursement.

SPEN Booked Accommodation: Alternatively, you can call 105, and SPEN will book a hotel for you. Please note that this may take some time as we are currently handling a high volume of bookings.

For those not able to take up those options and remain within their own homes, the Volunteer Rooms, Irvine, Beith Community Centre, Cranberry Moss and Woodwynd Hall in Kilwinning are all open today offering warmth and a hot meal if required.

Our Care at Home teams continue to support the most vulnerable in our communities, providing welfare calls and visits.

Guidance can be found on power cuts on Scottish Power Energy Networks website.

More emergency information can be found on Scottish and Southern Electricity website.

Should affected residents need further help and advice please call our Customer Contact Centre on  01294 310000 where we will be able to signpost you to the appropriate guidance.
