Update from Working North Ayrshire on Universal Credit Claims

Posted on 8 Apr 2020

Some important info from Working North Ayrshire about Universal Credit Claims.

DWP has reported there were just under one million new applications to Universal Credit new claims made over the last two weeks.

They have revised their processes nationally to cope with this demand and have now managed to contact the vast majority of applicants either by telephone or through their UC journal.

North Ayrshire Jobcentres advise they are still experiencing issues where claimants are not answering telephone calls from DWP. These calls are to clarify or verify information to allow them to progress their claim.

Please note that these calls may be from a withheld number.
