Online registration now open for early years intake

Posted on 6 Mar 2024

Parents whose children are scheduled to start nursery in August are asked to register online from today (Wednesday, March 6).

All three and four-year-old children and eligible two-year children are entitled to 1140 hours of early years education per year.

Registration for the August intake will run until Sunday, March 31. Parents and carers are asked to apply online.

Councillor Shaun Macaulay, Cabinet Member for Education and Young People, said: “Our young children are entitled to the best possible start in life and that’s what our early years centres aim to provide.

“We have a high-quality range of early years establishments right across North Ayrshire

“Last year, the vast majority of parents who registered their child early secured their first choice, and so we would encourage parents to register their child or children as early as possible within the March registration period.”

If your child currently accesses Early Learning and Childcare in North Ayrshire and you want to access a different provision in August, you should discuss this with staff at the establishment your child currently attends.
