North Ayrshire result for European Elections 2019

The Returning Officer for North Ayrshire, Craig Hatton, has declared the following local result for the European Parliamentary Election, held on Thursday, May 23. 

 

Change UK - The Independent Group - 734

Conservative and Unionist Party – 4,662

Labour Party – 3,766

Liberal Democrats – 2,934

Scottish Green Party – 2,093

Scottish National Party (SNP) – 15,493

The Brexit Party – 6,524

UK Independence Party (UKIP) - 820

Gordon Edgar (Independent) - 179

Ken Parke (Independent) - 47

 

The total number of votes cast in North Ayrshire was 37,375.

The total number of rejected ballot papers was 123.

The percentage turnout in North Ayrshire for this election was 35.6%.

The votes cast in North Ayrshire form part of the overall Scottish result.

Following the announcement of results from all Scottish local authority areas, six candidates will be chosen to represent Scotland as Members of the European Parliament. The successful candidates will be announced by the Regional Returning Officer for Scotland when all results have been declared.
