Motorists are warned of disruption to the local road network as contractors carry out work

Posted on 6 Dec 2022

Drivers in North Ayrshire are being advised to be aware of disruption to the local road network as work is carried out at six locations.

Contractors are undertaking essential health and safety works on the electrical distribution network.

This means there will be some disruption on the roads in Irvine and Kilwinning as this work is undertaken, and it is expected to be completed by the end of January 2023.

There will be no road closures as the work is being carried out under temporary traffic control, with portable traffic lights and lane closures.

Work will take place at:

: • Long Drive – Between Stanecastle Roundabout and Towerlands slip

  • Long Drive – Between the roundabout at Taylor Drive and Hill Interchange

  • Long Drive – Between Hill Interchange and Stanecastle Roundabout

  • Bannoch Road junction of Irvine Road, Kilwinning

  • Riverside Way, Irvine and

  • The layby on Long Drive between Towerlands Roundabout and South Newmoor Roundabout.

We would ask drivers for their patience during the period of works.
