Locality community support hubs now live

Posted on 25 Mar 2020

Set up in each locality, the support hubs have been estasblished to help callers with their concerns about health & well-being, money and food relating to COVID-19.

The function of the community hubs is to:

  • Provide an information service and signposting to statutory services
  • Manage Foodbank distribution
  • Deliver prescriptions, where no other help is available

The hubs will be coordinated by a small team of North Ayrshire Council and Health and Social Care staff. They will not be open for members of the public to visit but should be contacted via the phone numbers detailed below.

The hubs will link in with local volunteers including groups already established and there is also an online application form for new volunteers.

The Community Planning team will continue to produce a daily Covid-19 Communities update – you will find this online here.
