Largs HWRC five-day closure

Posted on 17 Feb 2021

The recycling centre in Largs will be temporarily closed for a short period later this month to allow essential maintenance works to be carried out.

The facility will close on Monday 22 February and will reopen to the public again from Saturday 27 February.

During the five-day closure, North Coast residents requiring urgent access to the Council’s household waste recycling services will be re-directed to the nearest available site in Kilbirnie.

Councillor Jim Montgomerie, Cabinet Member for Green New Deal and Sustainability said: “These works are essential to ensure the ongoing operation for the Largs site.

“We ask for your patience and understanding during the short temporary closure. If you urgently need to get rid of unwanted household goods during the closure, the Kilbirnie recycling centre will be open daily.”
