North Ayrshire Council is hosting a public consultation event to improve access within the Garnock Valley by promoting walking, cycling, and horse riding.
The proposals involve the following:
- Development of new or existing active travel paths within Kilbirnie, Dalry, Beith and adjacent villages
- Development of a Dalry to Kilbirnie active travel paths adjacent to the B780
- Development of new active travel paths through the Lochshore site
A public consultation event has been planned to give members of the public the opportunity to come along and contribute to the development of the proposals.
The drop-in event will be open to the public on Tuesday 20 November 2018 from 5pm – 8pm at Garnock Community Campus, Beith Road, Glengarnock, KA14 3BF.
Councillor Alex Gallagher, Cabinet Member for Economy, North Ayrshire Council, said: “We are keen to consult with local people to identify any potential issues on existing paths and identify opportunities to improve them.
“I would urge local residents to come along to the consultation event and share their views. Your comments will help inform the Garnock Active Travel Study and help us to create a shortlist of active travel proposals for potential upgrade and implementation by the Council.”
