Food delivery schedule for next week

Posted on 27 Mar 2020

North Ayrshire Council’s free food delivery scheme will continue next week with more deliveries scheduled.

In total, more than 2,200 families have registered for this vital support which will see Council staff deliver packages of ingredients during what is a very challenging time.

Next week’s delivery schedule is:

  • Tuesday, March 31 – Three Towns and Irvine
  • Wednesday, April 1 – Three Towns, Irvine and Kilwinning
  • Thursday, April 2 – Three Towns, Irvine, Garnock Valley and North Coast
  • Friday, April 3 – Three Towns, Irvine, Kilwinning, Garnock Valley

Please note that eligible families must be in when we call as we cannot return until the next scheduled delivery. Also, the contents of the packages may vary depending on supplies available.

The service is aimed at those who have a child or children eligible for free school meals and/or in receipt of a school clothing grant. Although all P1-3 pupils are automatically entitled to free meals, they may not qualify for the food packages as we are aiming to reach those families who are most in need in the first instance.

Please note that once registered, there may be a delay in receiving your pack of approximately one week, but we are working through applications as fast as possible. We request that you do not call or email with individual enquiries as we are not in a position to answer these at this time.
