Beware of fake Zoom meeting invites

Posted on 30 Apr 2020

Please be aware, cyber-criminals are now using fake Zoom meeting invitations in a phishing campaign to steal corporate user IDs and passwords.

The fake messages state they come from HR in relation to contract suspensions or terminations. When clicked, the fake meeting link goes to a malicious website cloned from the actual Zoom website. Users are asked to enter their corporate user ID and password rather than their Zoom sign-in details.

If you receive an email similar to this, please forward it to report@phishing.gov.uk.

Do not click on the link, and do not enter your user ID or password.

View the Trading Standards Facebook post here to see an example of the fake invite.
