The 2 main festivals, within North Ayrshire, celebrating our heritage and traditions are Marymass Festival and Largs Viking Festival.

Marymass Festival, Irvine

Marymass retains ancient traditions dating back to the Middle Ages. Together with rich pageantry and a modern twist, the Marymass Festival has something for all the family.

From fireworks to folk music, crowning of the Marymass Queen to comedy, racing to rock music, horses to history - Irvine Carters Society and the Marymass Festival Committee have ensured that the Marymass Festival will not disappoint.

Largs Viking Festival 

Celebrating the towns Viking Heritage and the Battle of Largs 1263, you will be enthralled by Viking skirmishes, battle re-enactments and explosive fireworks display at the Largs Viking Festival. This annual festival takes place over 9 days in September. Visit Vikingar to find out more.
