Schools careers advice

As you plan for your future and work towards landing your dream job, you’ll have to consider your strengths, subjects you should study, work experience opportunities that may be open to you and how to create a CV that stands out!

Help and support is available in your school from your:

  • guidance/pastoral support teacher
  • school’s 16+ co-ordinator
  • school’s link Work Coach (careers adviser).

If they can't help with your query, they'll refer you to someone who can.

Careers advice is available on the My World of Work website.

Volunteering is also a great way to put your skills to the test and gain confidence and experience. For volunteering opportunities visit the Project Scotland website.
