Update, 1 April

DWP Recovery for Council Tenants

All DWP recovery is currently suspended due to COVID19. Recovery of all debts from all benefits has been suspended including:

  • DWP debts
  • HMRC debts
  • Social fund loan recovery

If you have payment that is due then you might have a deduction still due to assessment periods however, going forward these will be suspended.

If you have a Universal Credit advance then you will continue to pay this however, you can speak to UC or a member of our Welfare Reform Advice Team if you are struggling with this payment.
