The development of plans for the North Shore site suggests that there is capacity for around 150 residential units, with a mix of private and social housing.
Proposals for private residential use will consider the appropriate delivery model in terms of involvement with the private sector, how to secure design and community wealth building outcomes. Private residential use will be located to the north of the community campus and is likely to be developed following the construction of the campus.
Proposals for social housing use will be located to the east of the community campus around the entrance to the site from Montgomerie Pier Road/Barr Street. Social housing may be developed at an earlier stage alongside the construction of the campus.
