Spring, summer, autumn and winter - the beauty of Eglinton Country Park is on your doorstep!
Immersed in a rich history, our Country Park gives you space and freedom to enjoy a wide range of pursuits. The area is crisscrossed with paths and bridleways which allow you to get closer to the natural world. Our Ranger Service has a busy programme of events tailored to young people and their families. Children will also love our All-Abilities Play Park and after the fun you can enjoy home-made snacks and a drink in the tea room.
Roadworks on the Eglinton interchange and Hill roundabout
Robertson Construction have commenced essential enabling works on the B7080 Long Drive between the Eglinton interchange and Hill roundabout, on behalf of North Ayrshire Council. The works will involve forming a new roundabout on the existing carriageway which will provide a new access point into the Montgomerie Park development from north. The works will also include the formation of new SUDS pond within the Eglinton Park boundary, which will enhance the wildlife in and around that area.
Site set up and enabling works commenced on the 1st February with the works expected to last 28 weeks. There is now a traffic management and temporary reduced speed established on Long Drive in the vicinity of the existing access points, and some diversions/closures of footpaths locally within Eglinton Country Park. Robertson Construction intend to keep disruption to a minimum and both the construction team and Ranger Service are monitoring the project.
Have your say!
