Welcome to Eglinton Country Park 

Spring, summer, autumn and winter - the beauty of Eglinton Country Park is on your doorstep!

Immersed in a rich history, our Country Park gives you space and freedom to enjoy a wide range of pursuits. The area is crisscrossed with paths and bridleways (link to park map) which allow you to get closer to the natural world. Our Ranger Service has a busy programme of events tailored to young people and their families. Children will also love our All-Abilities Play Park and after the fun you can enjoy home-made snacks and a drink in the tea room.

The factory developer here at Eglinton is in the process of creating a new public car parking area to replace the ones which will be lost as part of the impending housing development to the south-east of the Tournament Café.

Eglinton Park Visitor Centre receives coveted Eco Award

 

Eglinton Country Park Visitor Centre complex has become the first North Ayrshire centre (other than schools) to receive the coveted Eco Centre Award through the Keep Scotland Beautiful programme.

 

Outdoor Nursery Pilot Project

 

In April/May this year, in collaboration with Eglinton Country Park Rangers Service, staff from 2 local nurseries along with an Early Years Practitioner delivered outcomes from the Curriculum for Excellence to children in an outdoor environment.

 

Childminders Workshop

 

Eglinton Country Park and the North Ayrshire Ranger Service are excited to introduce a pilot scheme to make child minders aware of all the fun and educational resources which can be made available in the great outdoors.

 

The Visitor Centre

Our Visitor Centre has an exhibition on the Earls of Eglinton, local history and information on the 1839 tournament. Pay a visit to our gift shop where we have an extensive range of souvenirs and gifts. Children won't be able to resist the brand new state of the art all inclusive play areas. They can bounce, swing and slide to their hearts content!

Tournament Cafe

 
A trip to the Park wouldn't be complete without visiting the Tournament Cafe offering delicious, fresh, homemade food. If you prefer something cooling why not try the courtyard which offers a wide range of soft drinks, confectionery and our range of award winning Mancini's ice cream.

Campsite and Holiday Cottage

 

We have a holiday cottage which can be booked for short breaks and holidays. 

We have also established a 50-pitch basic camping site including 30 hard-standing pitches and 5 complete with electrical hook-ups.
