Roadworks on the Eglinton interchange and Hill roundabout

Robertson Construction have commenced essential enabling works on the B7080 Long Drive between the Eglinton interchange and Hill roundabout, on behalf of North Ayrshire Council. The works will involve forming a new roundabout on the existing carriageway which will provide a new access point into the Montgomerie Park development from north. The works will also include the formation of new SUDS pond within the Eglinton Park boundary, which will enhance the wildlife in and around that area.

Site set up and enabling works commenced on the 1st February with the works expected to last 28 weeks. There is now a traffic management and temporary reduced speed established on Long Drive in the vicinity of the existing access points, and some diversions/closures of footpaths locally within Eglinton Country Park. Robertson Construction intend to keep disruption to a minimum and both the construction team and Ranger Service are monitoring the project.

Woodland Survey

Have your say!

We want our woodlands to be accessible, safe, beautiful and full of wildlife. To achieve this, we are launching a consultation to inform a management plan for Eglinton Country Park's woodlands. Our Woodland Management (PDF, 338kb) leaflet contains more information.
Please give us your ideas, concerns and wishes, by completing our online survey - it's only 5 short questions!

Call us on 01294 551776 if you want to learn more about the survey and the management plan.
