Camping and Touring Site
Available to organised event groups only (10 pitches or more).
The countryside setting is surrounded by mature woodland and is part of the 18th Century landscape close to the River Lugton. Our site has room for 50 pitches, including 30 hard standing pitches close to the Visitor Centre and Cafe. The nearby towns of Kilwinning and Irvine have good shops and amenities. Kilwinning is a 5 minute drive away or a 15 minute walk through the Park.
We have toilets and hand washing facilities but no shower facilities. We offer battery charging for those who need it.
Its location within the Country Park means that's there are many varied walks, riding and fishing opportunities all on your doorstep. The Cunninghame Cycleway, a largely traffic free route, from the railway station in Kilmarnock to the ferry port of Ardrossan, follows disused railways and riverside paths through Irvine and towards Kilwinning, passing the Garnock Floods Nature Reserve and Eglinton Country Park. The route provides a fantastic opportunity to explore this part of Ayrshire and passes by the campsite perimeter and the Ayrshire Coastal Path is within easy reach. The route then heads east to Stevenston following the sand dunes and giving wide sweeping views across the Irvine Bay towards the Isle of Arran. At Ardrossan, you can take your bike on the ferry to the Isle of Arran, where the route continues from Brodick to Lochranza.
By car, Arran can be reached via ferry from Ardrossan, a mere 15 minute drive away, opening up many opportunities for hiking, climbing and sailing.
Our tariff depends upon the time of year, number of people etc. Please phone us on 01294 551776 for further details.
