Your doctor's surgery

Make an appointment to see your GP, or other healthcare professional if your illness or injury isn't going away. They can carry out an examination and provide advice and information about conditions such as: vomiting, earache, stomach pain, backaches. Please remember to keep your appointment!

Visit your dentist for regular check ups, planned routine treatment and emergency care. To find a dentist to register with, contact the Dental Helpline on 01292 616815, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Drop into your local pharmacy to get expert advice or information on medicines and healthcare. Under the Minor Ailment Service you might not need to pay for the medicine that the pharmacist may recommend. Examples of minor illnesses include: coughs and colds, indigestion, constipation, aches and pains.

For a speedy recovery, taking care of yourself is the best option when you have a minor illness or injury such as a hangover, grazed knee, sore throat, cough or cold.
