Making North Ayrshire a great place to live, work and visit
Our vision is to champion and develop the positive aspects of life in North Ayrshire, whilst also tackling poverty and disadvantage in all of its forms.
We do this by working with others. Our services touch on every aspect of daily life - this includes schools, housing, business development, refuse collection and recycling, homecare services, roads and transportation, parks and libraries, to name but a few.
North Ayrshire offers many advantages. Our stunning coastline and attractive hills and moorland offer a diverse backdrop for many outdoor pursuits.
We have many areas of affordable housing, good development potential, and excellent transport links.
However there are also individuals and communities in North Ayrshire who face many disadvantages in their lives, for example in accessing better employment and training, in enjoying better health and wellbeing and in receiving better care and support services.
We have a key role to play in helping these people achieve a better life.
We will work together with our partners to solve the problems facing communities and individuals. We will help people find work, training and learning opportunities and we will enable people to live healthier and more active lives. In addition, we will help people access better care and support services and will make people feel safer in their own neighbourhoods. We also aim to play our part in creating a cleaner and greener environment in North Ayrshire and beyond.
In short we will continue to create a North Ayrshire where everyone can enjoy equal opportunities to take part and access the services they need.
