Rubbish and Recycling
We want to reduce the amount of rubbish going to landfill and become more sustainable in the way we manage our waste and rubbish.
To help us do this we operate a number of Recycling Centres and Recycling Points which are located throughout North Ayrshire.

We want to make recycling as easy as possible to do from home too, so you can use:

the Black box for glass

Blue bins for cardboard, paper, tins, drink cans, plastic bottles, tetra paks (eg. orange juice cartons)

Brown bins for garden refuse
All other Domestic Waste is collected every two weeks. Did you know that before we launched our Blue Bin recycling scheme over 56,000 tonnes of your waste was being sent to Landfill. Now, we recycle nearly 35, 000 tonnes.

You can use our online facility to report non urgent issues
To report an urgent issue - dead animals, needles, oil spillage etc. please call 0845-603-0594 during office hours (8:30am - 5:30pm) or the police on 0141-532-2000 outwith office hours or during the weekend.
