Services A to Z:

Special Uplifts

You can arrange for us to collect bulky household rubbish that doesn't fit into your wheelie bin via our special uplift service.

You can arrange a special uplift online or by calling 0845-603-0594

There is a charge of £12 for up to five items and any additional items will cost £2.40 each (all charges include VAT).

All items for uplift should be grouped together and put out for 7.00 am on the day of collection.  The items should be placed to the front of the property as near to the pavement as possible within the boundaries of your garden.

If, because of disability, infirmity or age, you have difficulty placing out items to the front of your property or there are any other difficult access problems, we may be able to offer assistance.

If you have a higher number of items or a house clearance you can either make arrangements with a private contractor or we can give you a price for the clearance.

Our Recycling Centres will accept small amounts of bulky household items free of charge and you can also access a wide range of re-use and recycling facilities.

Alternatively, you might want to consider giving your unwanted items to voluntary groups or charitable organisations and let them make good use of them.
