Environmental Health Overview
The work of the Environmental Health Service impinges on every aspect of our daily lives. The role of Environmental Health is to protect the quality of the air we breathe, the water and food we consume, and the safety of our workplace and general environment. We do this by regular monitoring, educating and enforcing legislation governing pollution control, water supply, food safety, health and safety at work, statutory nuisances, noise and pest control.
The work is undertaken by well qualified, professional and versatile staff operating from our base at Cunninghame House, Irvine.
